Marcelo (Héctor) Scaglia is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience driving business growth, expanding client portfolios, and increasing profitability in the payments and financial services industry. Since October 2022, he has served as SVP – Regional Head of the Acquiring Business and Solutions for Fiserv in Latin America, leading both regional and in-country teams across multiple markets.
In his role, Marcelo is responsible for overseeing strategy, product and solution development, and operations for Fiserv’s direct acquiring business, as well as Acquiring-as-a-Service solutions for financial institutions. With deep market insight and a strong track record across banking, fintech, and digital ecosystems, he brings a results-oriented approach to Latin America, delivering impact both regionally and at the country level.
Marcelo is recognized for his expertise in digital strategy, business development, team leadership, and enterprise transformation. He plays a key role in expanding Fiserv’s presence in the region and advancing a collaborative ecosystem that supports the growth and maturity of digital commerce across Latin America. He is also an active member of Fiserv’s Global Business Operating Committee, reinforcing his influence in the company’s global strategic direction.
He holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Instituto de Física Balseiro and an MBA from ESADE, combining strong analytical and strategic capabilities to navigate and shape the evolving landscape of digital payments.
